In another week of Edinburgh Bowling Association action for the Northern the Gents 1st XVI suffered a 7-2 defeat at home to Summerside while the 2nd XVI had a free week. The ladies lost 5-0 as well, away to Summerside
The two points for the 1st team means they still have an outside chance at promotion if they can string together some 7s and 9s over the remaining fixtures, and while the 2nd XVI have had their title rivals, Slateford, overtake them in the league, we do still have a game in hand and the title is therefore in our own hands as long as we keep getting results
Next Wednesday our gents 1st XVI are away to Dean while the 2nd XVI are at home to Dean. Our ladies play Seafield at Home
