A Difficult Night in Summerside For The Gents 1st XVI

Things could have gone better for the gents on a sunny evening in Summerside last night as they came home with a 7-2 defeat but 2 points is still 2 points and with them still sitting 3rd in the league, with a home match against the team in 2nd place next week, it’s still all to play for as they try to battle their way back into the top division of Edinburgh bowls

Our 2nd XVI had a week off from official action but some of them did turn up to the club for a bounce match and well done to them for doing so when it would have been far easier to just take the night off.

That free week for the 2nds mean that they have now been knocked off of top spot in the league table but with all of the teams above them having now played a game more, they’re still in a great position and next week they play Dean away from home to make it Dean Day for the Northern all round
