A Solid Start To The Gents League Season

A massive well done to everyone involved for both of our Mens teams getting off to a winning start in this seasons EBA leagues

Our 1st XVI managed to romp to a 9-0 victory at home against promotion rivals Maitland while our 2nd XVI snatched a 5-4 win away from home against their own promotion rivals from Slateford

With all four of the 1st team rinks winning and putting together an aggregate score of 72-47 it really was an impressive night and a far better start than last season as they try to get back to the top table of Edinburgh bowls

For the 2nd XVI things were a bit more mixed with two rinks up and two rinks down and it was so close to being a 7-2 victory but the important thing is that they prevailed to leave with an aggregate win of 67-56
