The 1st 16s welcomed last years Division 1 Champions and Edinburgh cup winners Queensberry to the Famous Northern for the 1st league fixture of the new season against our 2nd division Champions from last year,
The game was played in the best of spirits against our very good friends from the Berry, the match was split at 2 wins each with a good win by Andy Reid and his squad but a great win by Gordon jnr and his lads winning by over 20 shots gave the victory to the Northern 60 shots to 51 and a 5-4 win in this hard fought match, both Northern teams tonight were also sporting their new kit which was purchased during the closed season partially with the help of our current Sponsors, N Watt and son ltd Electricians , Plumbers & Joiners, Edinscot Property care and Bowzos unique handmade dogwear and accessories .
Our 2nd 16s did not have as good a start to the new season losing 9-0 to Mayfield away from home, better luck next week lads.
