It’s been a tricky start to the season for all of our teams so far but that was always going to be the case with the 1st XVI returning to the top division while our 2nd XVI are also playing in a higher tier and our ladies team are continuing to develop
The 1sts started their season with a demoralising 9-0 loss at home to Craigentinny before getting a respectable 6-3 loss away to Sighthill. They then had a tough away trip to Queensberry which resulted in another 6-3 defeat but this week they find themselves at home to Parkside, looking for that 1st win of the season.
As for the 2nds, well, they also started with a 9-0 defeat, away to Dean, but they made up for it with a 7-2 win the following week at home to Goldenacre before going down 6-3 at home to Summerside. This Wednesday they find themselves away to Colinton in what should be another tough match
The Ladies team have only played 2 fixtures thus far and are yet to pick up a point but despite the 5-0 defeats there has only been a couple of shots in it
Just keep sticking in, and I’m sure the wins will come for us all
