Last night saw the 2021 Championship Semi Finals played on a lovely summer evening.
Four of the most consistent players this season going head-to-head for a place in the much coveted final
The first semi final saw a father and son contest Jamie Reid taking on his dad Andy on Rink 1. The game was very close with great bowls played by both, however none better than the running bowl played by Jamie to secure a 4 which moved him from 17 to 21 and book a place in the final on Friday.
The other semi saw Gary Harrison take on Gordon Wilson Jnr match up on Rink 3. Gordon drew first blood with a single at the first end. Gary then took control, scoring consistently through the rest of the match. Finally securing a place in the final with a couple of touchers at full length. The game was played in great spirit and also produced some great bowls.
Friday will see Jamie Reid play Gary Harrison it what should be a thrilling encounter.
