It Was smiles all round today at The Northern where the first Competition of 2020 was played a good number of the Membership turned up 16 in total. The Bar open for outside sales within the Club all were very happy.as the game got going it was going well to plan and soon we were down to the Semi Finals the four players were Jimmy Martin, Roy Campbell, George Prentice. and Allan Mitchell both were very close affairs but it was Jimmy Martin Vs Allan Mitchell in the final a ding dong battle went on but it was Allan Mitchell who got over the line. Please note that Social Distancing was strictly adhered to and bowls Scotland guidance on match play was followed
It was decided to hold another competition next Monday 13th July subject to weather and numbers with the same format as today. The Club Competitions hoping to be held this year will be Sat18th July The Bobby Loch 3 Bowl Singles starting at 12 Noon names in from 11.30 The 2 Bowl singles Sat 15th August start time T.B.C, and the Kinnear 2 Bowl singles. Presidents Handicap these competition will be played throughout August and September T.B.A by Match Secretary.
