The rink final took place tonight between the many times winners and probable favourites of Andy Reid, Gordon Wilson snr, Jamie Reid and Gordon Wilson jnr against Garry Harrison, Ross Barclay, Ian Miller and Euan Craig, the game was played in a great spirit between great club friends but also with a great rivalry between the eight strong players competing for the bragging rights in this very tight game on what was a very tricky rink four, this game lived up to all the expectations with all players playing great bowls at various stages of the game, ultimately Euan Craig and his squad went to the last end with a nice cushion of a 7 shot lead so with a few bowls played by the time Jamie and Gordon jnr came to play they were having to try and burn in order to keep the game alive, they came close but only managed to skiff the jack into a more difficult position, So congratulations to Garry, Ross, Ian and Euan, Northern 2022 Rink Champions.
