Another year has started opening day there were 32 members playing and 4 non playing all had a great day. The first Lady put on a lovely spread for all after the game . On the green the usual banter and (**&^) going on all seemed to be enjoying themselves  the Green was playing good for the opening day weather held up as well which helped one member did notice that the ceiling had been changed !!!!!!! . There is Substitute’s allowed in bowls two members who shall be nameless were changing bowls like £5 notes!!!!!!!!!!! the winners were the Club and the one’s who participated.

Here are some Pictures from the day.

A G M 2017

President Gordon Wilson handed the reigns over to Grant Young who thanked Gordon for all the hard work he had done over his two year in term . Grant’s first duty was to give long time Member Jimmy Martin Honorary Membership for all the work he has done over xxx years. A very well deserved award. The rest of the meeting went on without any hitches . Looking forward to see a we bit more on opening day April 15th.

Club Clean up 17/02

The President is not very about the numbers that are helping to get the Club ready for opening up on Monday’s again the work has finished rewiring. But now the hard work starts . Only five or six are doing the clean up with two on a regular Tuesday doing the outside ect ect. Even Members are coming into the Club and saying oh what  is  happening . So please give a couple of ours of your time to get the Club ready it is your club and I’m sure if the fees were to go up we would not be happy. The quicker it gets cleaned  the quicker the BAR will be back up and running. Thank You.
